Hi I’m Josh, I’ve been keeping and working with invertebrates and other exotics for more than 20 years. Based in Cornwall, UK. I now breed a number of invertebrates, especially isopods (also known as pillbugs, roly-polys, or woodlice) and sell and ship them across the UK. So whether you are looking for clean up crew for a terrarium or vivarium or just some cool new pet bugs, we can help get you started.

Isopods
Isopods, sometimes called roly-polys, pillbugs or woodlice make great bioactive clean up crew, but can also make excellent pets! Common species kept are Armadillidium, Cubaris and Porcellio amongst others.
But fair warning, they are incredibly addictive!
As detritivores isopods make great clean up crew for bioactive enclosures and terrariums, eating waste and helping to breakdown decaying matter. They can also make awesome pets!
Invertebrates
Invertebrates are a huge group of animals, some of which make excellent pets. Often staying quite small they don’t take up as much room as a lot of other animals. Maintaining them can be fairly simple for a lot of species, they can also be educational, teaching both children and adults about how amazing nature is. From stick insects to pillbugs to slimy slugs, we love all invertebrates at JW Invertebrates.
